Grow List, Improve Marketing Communications & Increase Sales

 

Challenge: Infrequent communications, a small list, and mediocre sales.

A professional membership program rarely communicated with their larger list of non members except during quarterly membership pushes. They were using a CRM with limited functionality.

Solution: New email system, communications plan, and list building.

I researched a variety of CRM’s, helped the client settle on a new, more powerful option and oversaw the migration.

I created a structure of weekly coordinated blog posts, email and social media posts. With this, I trained the non-member list into a habit of opening weekly, education-rich emails.

Simultaneously, I built a fresh and larger audience using one of my Facebook ads managers for a list building campaign. The list grew by 60% over 5 months.

By the next membership launch, this list was fresh and larger. The open and click rates were much improved. This, along with other marketing initiatives, led to the highest membership sales to date.

Maximize on a Press Opportunity

 

Challenge: Big press is coming but the client wasn’t ready for it.

A new client learned she would be featured in a major publication in just a few days. But her sites were clunky and not ready for the influx.

Solution: Oversee a speedy refresh of the front and back end of the client’s sites and sales experience.

I connected her with one of my web design/developers, who quickly reworked key pages of the client’s two sites under my management. We highlighted ways a user could begin work with the client now.

I worked closely with the client’s operation manager to tighten up user experience for the new expected audience.

When the press hit, users were able to easily interface with the cleaned up sites, leading to a wait list for her coaching sessions and increased sales for her online course.

Launch an App

 

Challenge: Launch an app.

A client wanted to develop a membership subscription app.

Solution: Project manage the heck out of that app launch!

Having already served as this client’s book launch manager, I was well positioned to manage her app development process.

Acting as the intermediary between the client and her staff, and the app development company, I project managed the several months long process of bringing this app to life.

This included communication, gathering materials, keeping people on deadline, handling delicate conversations, and being on top of the details while also keeping focused on the client’s brand. A year later, this client’s business income primarily comes from the successful app and subscription renewals.
